The One Room Schoolhouse was constructed in the 1850’s as KNOX SCHOOL NO #12 – donated by the Van Benschoten family.  At one point in history there were 21 such districts in the town of Knox, Albany County.  Experience the setting of learning when grades 1 – 8 simultaneously occupied one classroom, where one teacher covered all subjects including health, music, math, reading, spelling and English.  Special children activities daily.
