Tuesday August 16

6:00 pm Healthy Eating-Farm to Table Demonstrations - Jim Haas (BOCES) 


Wednesday August 17 - Senior/Armed Services Day

12:00 Noon Baked Bean Competition (all ages, bring 3 cups of your favorite baked beans with recipe to Gate 2 by 11:30 am), Judging and prizes by Chuck Wagon Diner

6:00pm - Wine Tastings with Greg Giorgio (Altamont Wine School)


Thursday August 18

2:00 pm - "Under the Sea" snack with Miss Altamont Fair - Youth (12 & Under)

6:00 pm - Bundt Cake Competition (All ages, bring 1 Bundt cake with recipe to Gate 2 by 5:30 pm, be creative!) Prizes by Blue Ribbon Cooking Center 


Friday August 19

2:00pm - Butterfly snack bags with Miss Altamont Fair - Youth (12 & under) 

6:00pm - Homemade bread competition sponsored by Bountiful Bread (Adults 18 and over, bring 1 loaf with recipe to Gate 2 by 5:30 pm, savory or sweet, no mixes)


Saturday, August 20

2:00pm - Rice Krispies Treat Competition sponsored by Ann Marie’s Candy - Youth (12 & under) - Bring 8 X 8 pan of Rice Krispies with recipe to Gate 2 by 1:30pm, make it your own!   

6:00pm Pie Eating Contest sponsored by Hannaford (first 4 entrants to sign up by 5:15pm, 12 -18 years and 19 & over, 2 minutes to eat as much as possible)  


Sunday August 21

12:00pm - Bread and Butter Pickles Canning demonstration by Karen Mort from Cornell Cooperative Extension
