| The
Altamont Fairgrounds is home to a great host of
Capital Region held Annual Events. Attendees, Performers
and Attractions at these events come from the greater
Northeast Region and from the far parts of North
America. The fair is the most recognizable. This
event is held annually during the second week of
August. Each year the grounds host the Capital Region
Scottish Games and Irish fest. Both events report
attendances from 15,000 to 20,000 plus. In the fall,
Apple Fest draws 10,000 plus attendees to celebrate
the foliage and apple season.
This year Regent Communication’s/WGNA Country
Fest returned to the place it started. After many
years away, the event has returned Home.
Beyond these large events, the grounds are great
for large family picnics, corporate picnics, festivals,
trade shows and outdoor competitions.
If you are looking for a venue to hold an event,
give the fair office a call so they can learn
more about your event.
